There are no formal examinations for this course. Instead, assessment is carried out through a range of coursework-based methods, including:
- Presentations
- Reports and project reports
- In-class tests

- CAD drawings and technical specifications
- Practical assessments
- Case study analysis
- Portfolio of evidence
You will also be expected to complete independent study outside of timetabled classes, including research, homework, and group work.
Self-directed learning is an essential part of your success on this course, and your lecturers will provide guidance throughout to support your academic development and study approach.
Applicants must be aged 18 or over and:
- Hold a Level 3 qualification or an Access to Higher Education certificate
- Demonstrate English proficiency (GCSE grade 4/C or CEFR B2). If you do not hold this qualification, you may complete an English test at a Beesmarter campus
- Successfully pass an academic interview
Applicants aged 21+
We welcome applications from individuals aged 21 and over who do not meet the standard entry requirements but can demonstrate motivation and commitment to the subject, along with relevant academic, professional, or vocational experience in a related field.
- English proficiency at GCSE grade 4/C or CEFR B2 is still required, or you may complete an English test at a Beesmarter campus
